The scheduled gig for "Draw the Line" a Aerosmith tribute band at Pipeline Cafe on Saturday, December 29th has been cancelled and replaced with Led Zepplica still at Pipeline Cafe on New Year's Eve, December 31st! The Cellar Nightclub is slated to close and as a last blast blowout the owners want to reminisce back to the old days of rock n roll in the Cellar! SLUG will play there Thursday nite, December 27th! | 03-16-07 | Awesome concert last night with SLUG and FOREIGNER! SLUG took to
the stage and pounded out some old favorites as well as some of their originals to a
packed arena. FOREIGNER rocked the house with all of their hits to a very lively and
appreciative crowd! Lead vocalist Kelly Hansen has got pipes of gold is all I can
say! Damn, that boy can sing! Mahalo to King Michel Concerts for booking SLUG for the opening gig and for providing some most righteous seats to friends and family of the band (6th row center!) It don't get much better then that! Check out their website for upcoming shows and concerts they are bringing to Hawaii! | 03-01-07 | SLUG set to open for FOREIGNER at the Blaisdell Arena! Yes, you read it correctly! SLUG will open for FOREIGNER at the Blaisdell Arena on Thursday, March 15th! Ticket info can be found here! The current line up features veteran vocalist Kelly Hansen, Jason Bonham, Jeff Pilson, Jeff Jacobs, Thom Gimbel and the highly underrated, indefatigable guitarist and founding member, Mick Jones. Several things are striking about this band. One is that Mick has somehow been unleashed and is staking his claim as one of Rock's greatest guitarists. Another is that these guys are having so much fun, playing so many classic songs, that it affects the audience. Let's face it; many revamped line ups are created for good old fashioned money. This group is having the time of their lives and it is absolutely infectious! Don't miss this show! |

Working on posting new videos created experly by Scotty Moniz who put together an awesome SLUG DVD from video shot at Bayfest 2005 on July 4th and from the Led Zepplica gig at Pipeline cafe Aug 20th, 2005. | 08-24-05 | Had an awesome night at the Hard Rock Cafe with Dave Lawrence, deejay from 105.9FM KPOI The Big Kahuna taking on MC duties. Lot's of folks came down to see if they would win the grand prize to Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, NYC as well as to see SLUG. Surprise guest Darryl Johnson, the drummer for Led Zepplica, stopped in to visit with SLUG and jam a few tunes as well as pound a few beers with the band! Like to thank Lisa Stephens taking care of us behind her bar outside on the lanai where Hard Rock had the band set up. Many other friend showed up to rock with SLUG - Rick, Buff, Mike & Becky as well as a "Robbie groupie section" of lovely ladies. Many others visiting the islands had nothing but praise for SLUG. | 08-21-05 | Wow! That was a blast last night watching SLUG open for Led Zepplica at Pipeline Cafe! Slug rocked
the house with a couple of their originals and then it was classic Sabbath for the rest of
the set! Led Zepplica was
the real deal too! Joe Retta can emulate Robert Plant's vocals to a 'T' and Lenny
Mann can handle that Gibson Les Paul as good as Jimmy Page does! We were all treated
to a "Bonzo" drum solo from Darryl Johnson as well! Photos
have been posted and video to come soon! Too bad the Pipeline folks don't know the
meaning of an encore! Hello!? They rushed SLUG off the stage before they
finished their set and then didn't even let Led Zepplica do their encore either! Almost had a riot on their
hands with the whole place pissed off throwing cups and drinks at the stage. I
wonder what the hell they were thinking? "Let's see... I have my club packed
wall to wall with hundreds of people who are all drinking and giving us their money.. but,
hey, it's 10:00pm! Shut it down and tell them all to get out!! There's at
least 20 people outside waiting to dance to the DJ, dammit!" Does that make any
sense to you? Not to me. Maybe they'll figure it out some day... Join us at Hard Rock Tuesday, August 23rd, to help celebrate the Grand Opening of Hard Rock Cafe New York in Times Square! |

night! We had a great time in the banyan tree jungle up on stage in front of a mock

| 09-25-02 | Rockfest 2002 was an awesome
show! Southbound set it off with some old ZZ Top and other classic rock and
SLUG was a hit with their Black Sabbath set, Clayton even threw a rubber bat on stage for
Erich "Ozzy" Wida! He didn't bite it's head off though... Moving Pictures got the ball rolling for the tribute bands with some awesome renditions of 2112, Spirit of the Radio and other classic Rush tunes. Rocks came on and proceeded to rock it out after just stepping off the plane! Too bad they got rushed off stage after only 30 mins! Before they even had a chance to get to their Aerosmith favorites! They were under the impression that they were slated for a 90 min set. Ah well... you guys rocked regardless!! The Atomic Punks had the stage for the rest of the show. Two 1-hour sets to cap off the afternoon. Scott Patterson was back to pound it out and Russ had his wig and Eddie jumpsuit on, ready for the show. After a few bugs were worked out with Ralph's mic by Outburst sound, they really put on a fantastic show as usual. I took a lot of pics that are already posted on the Atomic Punks website. Kailua. Damn, that place is hot! At least they have a huge fan blowing on the
dance floor now. Whew! It was another jammed packed nite! Standing room
only! And whoo! Were the ladies out or what? I've never seen so many fine
women! The Aussies were also out in force! All the boys visiting the islands
for the RIMPAC exercises were strutting their stuff on the dance floor! One of them
even made Drunk of the Week! Although they were drunk and rowdy, I must commend them
for keeping the peace when a bunch of our local military boys wanted to mix it up.
The Aussies kept the peace and got everyone dancing again! Oy! Oy! Oy! New

Check out this gig info: SLUG is tentatively booked to do a tribute show on the North Shore on Saturday afternoon, September 21 with Atomic Punks (Van Halen tribute band), Moving Pictures (Rush tribute band) and Rocks (Aerosmith tribute band.) SLUG will be under the guise of a Black Sabbath tribute band - Black Cabbage! lol! The promoter said tickets are slated to be $17.50 and they expect about 4000 people! Holy #$%^! Stay tuned!!! |

Stay tuned. SLUG took a golden opportunity to gig for a week in DIEGO GARCIA at the end of this month so, the gigs they had planned on the 30th and 31st have been cancelled. They will be playing five nights for the military boys stationed there defending our country! How #$%@ cool is that?! Awesome! |

SLUG was next with a Sabbath set and after putting up with the crappy mic hook up on the first two songs they finally got rocken and finished up with Motorhead and a classic Metallica song! Erich even got Ah Foon to come up and sing Heaven and Hell with him!! Yeah! C.O.T. sounded tight even with the shitty PA system at Gussie's! Ed Dysarz joined Angelo and Gerard on stage for a little Aaronsrod rerunion while Frank filled in on guitar for the missing Brian Spalding. Pretty f#cken awesome. They still got it! Keep the metal alive!! |

| 04-15-02 | Erich was back for his first gig at Tropics last Friday night. Did a damn good job belting out those tunes after having several holes carved in his gut a couple of weeks ago. Erich said his stomach was killing him after the first set but stuck it out for all three sets without compromising on the vocal tones. Woody and Roxanne joined us in the sweat box of Tropics and Erich got Woody up to pound out a few old favorites even though Woody had to pay Big Tim $2 at the door to get in! What's that all about! They're not even supposed to be charging cover at Tropics! Bambi and Leah were feeling NO PAIN after a few too many Bartender's Iced Teas! The gig at Camp Mokuleia for Narcotics Anonymous was a non-stop party. Once SLUG started playing it was a dance fest all night long - with a SOBER crowd at that! What a trip! |
| 04-07-02 | Living In Question cancelled their gig at Kemoo Pub & Grill for Saturday night and Sophia gave Erich a call to see if SLUG could fill in. Erich is still recouperating from his surgery and couldn't sing but Ted got his brother James Among to sing. It was rough but gotta give kudos to James for pulling 3 sets of songs off having never done it before and not knowing half the songs! Mahalo to James for filling in! |

| 03-13-02 | SLUG had the Wave rockin' Friday, February 22. Check out the Photos! They were requested to tone it down a notch so, the band learned a bunch of "mellower" tunes, Pearl Jam, Bush, Stone Temple Pilots, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc. I know you die hard SLUG fans were out there in the audience looking at the band like Scooby would... "Rrooh?" Those who stuck it out were treated to some SLUG favorites later in the evening. War Pigs, Ted shredding on a Van Halen classic, Eruption and even White Zombie and RATM! Oh Yes!! Lot's of friends came out to support the band and we thank them all! Special thanks goes out to Rox and Woody for making the trek out and bringing the crew along with them. | 01-12-02 | New Photos have been posted from Tropics last night. Ted had managed to break his ankle in a freak "Razor" scooter riding accident last Sunday and had to crutch his way up to a chair and play guitar sitting down with a cast on his leg. He was in a lot of pain but didn't want to disappoint the fans by having to cancel so, Ted endured his agony and played on! (I think the BEER certainly helped in dulling the pain!) Greg and Shiyena visiting from California came out to watch SLUG play again and once again, Shiyena whomped on the bass with some G'nR. Erich invited Bill, one of the bouncers there at Tropics, to belt out a few songs and he did a great job with some Metallica and Godsmack as well. |
| 01-11-02 | New Photos have been posted from the Kemoo Pub & Grill gig on 01-04-02. A bunch of friends were in the house that night. Ted and Clayton's good friend Greg was visiting with his wife Shiyena from California and came out to watch SLUG perform. Shiyena, who performs in the Guns 'n Roses tribute band Rocket Queen in Los Angeles, was kind enough to grace everyone with her awesome bass playing on a few tunes. Eric, the singer from Robbie's old band Poynt Blankk, came down and the boys invited him up to belt out a few songs as well. Ted's younger brother James was there to sing a few lyrical numbers with the band too. Ira finally got to realize his dream of becoming the DOTW! (Drunk of the Week) Passed out in a chair fronting the band at full volume! Alright Ira! Rock on! |
| 12-30-01 | Okay, I got the Photos posted from Kemoo Pub & Grill gig from 11-16-01. (Hey, they're only a month & a half old! Sheesh!) After several gentle prods by Robbie and Jen to get the photos of their friend RJ's son, Shaun, up on the website, I finally just sat down and did it! RJ brought his son Shaun, who is only 17, out to watch Robbie and SLUG perform at the Pub. The band invited him up to play and Shaun didn't hesitate one second. He jumped right in with Pomai on a cover of Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith. Everyone was so impressed that they cheered and asked for more. Shaun then wowed the crowd with a flawless cover of Rock 'n Roll by Led Zeppelin that I think even Jimmy Page himself would have been impressed with! Where did this kid come from? He knew it all as if he had been playing these songs for twenty years! He must be an old guitar player reincarnated! Jeff from WAKE had also stopped by and rocked the crowd when asked to sing a song. |

They all came up and did some Ozzy for the crowd. Erich even got Mickey up on vocals to the tune of Sweet Home Alabama! The chicks were flocking him! How come they don't do that to you Erich? Many friends were in the house for my birthday celebration. I must say it was a blurry night! There were always two Heineken's in front of me at all times! With the occasional tequila shot thrown in for good measure! Oh Yes! Sundog Boyz went on first for the Metal Fest and performed all originals. SLUG was next with their signature Sabbath and Ozzy songs. Woody stepped in for a little reunion with his old band and ripped out some Montrose for old times sake. The PA sounded awesome for a change! Kudos to the sound guys at Gussie's for finally getting it right! Sabbatar was the final act and put on a great show all - decked out in their Halloween costumes. |

| 09-03-01 | What a cool weekend! Ted's birthday to celebrate, a SLUG gig at The Pub, a chili cookoff, another SLUG gig at Gussie's and a holiday on Monday to wrap it all up! As Triumph would say, "Oh YES!!!" On Saturday, SLUG was at The Pub where we all welcomed back Jennifer from Japan and Jerica was there to take care of us once again. Jerica was entered in the Kemoo Farms Chili Cook off Sunday afternoon so we came back to The Pub to sample her Gator Bait Chili. Wow, was it ever good! Out of 8 different teams Jerica pulled off 1st place winning a cool $100 cash prize! Congratulations Jerica! I'm sure that bad ass SLUG shirt she was wearing while dishing out the chili had something to do with it! Then it was down to Gussie L'amours for METAL FEST 2 with Sabbatar and Primal Tribe. SLUG did a great job with their Ozzy / Black Sabbath covers. Thanks to all you SLUG fans that came out to support the band! |

Ted's older brother Dennis Among of the Hoku Award winning band Joe Battery Band was in the house and stepped in for a few songs, providing his signature shredding riffs for all to enjoy! Dennis had his lovely fiance, Idie Jo, with him who, besides being very beautiful, is talented too! She joined Dennis on stage and belted out a hearty rendition of "Mustang Sally" while playing bass! Damn, she can sing, she can play and she looks good too! What more could you ask for? James Among stepped in on vocals for a few songs once again as well. Robbie had his brother Ray and his wife Billie here visiting with his cousin Trig. They hadn't had much sleep since arriving but came out for the gig anyway!
