Live Music...

Da Slug Plug...

Want hard rock? Can't get enuff of Classic Rock? Love live music? You MUST go see SLUG. Why?! Cuz I demand it. I command it. They are local, saw them last nite in fak, at Gussie Lamoure's.... and their music is anything but sluggish. 4 guys. Bassists-Joe, lead singer-Erich, Fender Strat lead guitarist-Ted. drummer-Robbie. This fearless foursome is very good. The singer is dam near top drawer. And funny. He held his own onstage.

The guys took requests and performed them with as much enthusiasm if not more, than the original. And of course, just the fact it's live... was great to hear something very close to the original Black Sabbath. Or Led Zep. Or Kiss. Or Ramones. Or another standout that night, Aerosmith's version of "Train keptarollin". Kicked butt. This made any drive worthwhile. ('tho it's not long atall, just along Nimitz near the airport. ) And my friend I took along commented the service from the very attractive waitresses was the friendliest and most efficient seen. They made sure without any pressure at all, that we were well taken care of, and that we were never left wanting for liquid refreshment. Very attentive, sweet and professional.

Don't forget; If you want hard rock, if you require a good dose of classic rock, SLUG will never leave you wanting. But you will soon want more. They delivered in deuces, and then some. Four very talented guys who should have a cd out at least. They were tight, loud, powerful and of course, we'd all like to see more of them. I believe you can see them every Saturday eve from 9 on, at Gussie Lamour's .

When asked for any requests, the very moment I shouted out "Crazy Train", they kicked into it. And I mean the moment; with no hesitation... and it was a dead on version, and hearing Ted perform Randy Rhoads blistering guitar riff... well, ya hadda be there.
Check their web site. Very entertaining and the Q-and-A bios is great fun. See SLUG here at slugrocks.com
